New Delhi: From next week, information on the CoWIN portal will be available in Hindi and 14 regional languages, along with 17 more laboratories that have been added to monitor Covid-19 variants.
According to the statement issued by the government, these decisions were taken during the 26th meeting of the High-Level meeting of Group of Ministers (GoM) held on Monday on Covid-19 under the chairmanship of Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.

Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday wrote to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, requesting the allocation of 19 more Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) medical oxygen plants, in 15 districts of Odisha.
Requesting the Union Health Minister s personal intervention in the matter, Pradhan said that the PSA plants are required in addition to the 21 plants being set up in various districts throughout the state.

Chandigarh, May 16 : Amid continued shortage of Covid vaccine, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Sunday directed Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan to explore the possibility of procurement of Sputnik V for the immunisation of the 18-44 age group.
Addressing the virtual Covid review meeting, he said one lakh doses received initially for the 18-44 category had almost been completely utilized.
Amarinder Singh asked Mahajan to look into Sputnik V as an alternative vaccine for this age group, in which currently the state government is inoculating families of healthcare workers, co-morbid persons and construction labour.
