UNION COUNTY, N.C. Governor Roy Cooper announced Wednesday that North Carolina is offering a reward for information in a Union County case where a missing man was found dead in February.
According to a news release, 33-year-old Joshua Tramaine Allen was last seen on Bost Street in Marshville, North Carolina on Jan. 23, 2021. Allen was found on Feb. 9 in a wooded area off Monroe Ansonville Road in Wingate.
Gov. Cooper said the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Joshua Tramaine Allen.

Police said a 23-year-old man died after being shot multiple times on Maurice Street in Monroe Monday evening. Now, two arrests have been made

MONROE, N.C. Police in Monroe, North Carolina say two people -one of whom a juvenile- are in custody after a 23-year-old man was shot and killed Monday evening.
According to Monroe Police, officers were called to a reported shooting on Maurice Street a little after 6 p.m. When officers got to the area, they learned 23-year-old Terence James Russell had been rushed to Atrium Union in a personal vehicle after being shot multiple times. Russell was pronounced dead a short time later.
