MONROE, N.C. Weddington Elementary students and staff will work remotely for the next two weeks after five students tested positive for coronavirus, according to school officials.
School officials say after consulting with Union County Public Health they have decided to move to Plan C from January 25th to February 5th, as several students and staff may have been exposed to the virus.

Health officials say those who may have been in close contact with an individual who tested positive will be contacted, and the school is following cleaning and sanitizing protocols following the outbreak.
