San Marcos CISD board approves 2 new hires

Wednesday, June 23, 2021 San Marcos Consolidated ISD will have a newAssistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning, and Assessments and a new Miller Middle School Principal following approval Monday.  The SMCISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the hires of Terrence M. Sanders as the new assistant superintendent, and Saumnya Lewis as the new Miller Middle School principal following a discussion in executive session.  Lewis joins the school district after serving as Manor ISD’s special education coordinator. She has previously worked as an assistant principal, AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) coordinator, special education teacher and secondary teacher during her 18-year career. She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and has a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University.
