Calling Danish VCs: Be featured in The Great TechCrunch Survey of European VC TechCrunch is embarking on a major project to survey the venture capital investors of Europe, and their cities. Our survey of VCs in Copenhagen and Denmark will capture how the country is faring, and what changes are being wrought amongst investors by the coronavirus pandemic. We’d like to know how Denmark’s startup scene is evolving, how the tech sector is being impacted by COVID-19 and, generally, how your thinking will evolve from here. Our survey will only be about investors, and only the contributions of VC investors will be included. More than one partner is welcome to fill out the survey. (Please note, if you have filled out the survey already, there is no need to do it again).

With the success of the Philia Forum held yesterday in Athens, Turkey demonstrates its immense frustration at Greece’s success in deepening the relations it has with Cyprus, France, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Iraq. What especially frustrates Turkey is that it is no longer an important country in the region and has been effectively ignored because of its endless threats of war and illegal military interventions. The Philia Forum is a testament to Turkey’s reduced importance. The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement that “the Greek foreign minister’s accusatory and slanderous remarks at the meeting in Athens indicate this enterprise is not about friendship,” in reference to the Philia Forum.

UfM ministers commit to strengthen blue economy sector By JT - Feb 03,2021 - Last updated at Feb 03,2021 AMMAN Six years after the first Union for Mediterranean (UfM) Ministerial Declaration on Blue Economy, ministers from the 42 UfM countries on Tuesday adopted a new declaration, committing to cooperate closely and address joint challenges in key blue economy sectors.  The ministers agreed to promote transformative policies and tools such as maritime clusters or maritime spatial planning, and support the overall shift towards low-emission technologies and circular blue economy, according to a UfM statement. New joint activities and projects will be set up on a wide range of issues, including “blue skills”, marine litter, marine renewable energies and nature-based tourism.
