Vice-chairman to look into “illegal activities” of Telangana State Waqf Board

Hyderabad: National Minorities Commission vice-chairman Atif Rasheed on Sunday said he will take up serious action against encroachers of Waqf properties in Telangana. The NMC chief announced that he will suggest the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs to set up a special task force and enquiry committee to free all Waqf properties from “land mafia” and take action against the “illegal activities” going on in the Telangana State Waqf Board.

LUCKNOW: Employment opportunities have been generated for over five lakh artisans, craftsmen and people associated with them through the “Hunar Haat” initiative of the government in the last five years, Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Friday.
“Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the 24th Hunar Haat of indigenous products of artisans and craftsmen in the state capital on Saturday. Artisans and craftsmen from 31 states and Union territories will participate in the event,” Naqvi told reporters here.
He said the “Hunar Haat” initiative has proved to be immensely beneficial and encouraging for artisans and craftsmen as lakhs of people purchase their indigenous handmade products at the event.

New Delhi, Jan 19 : A delegation of 20 religious leaders associated with the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council (AISSC) met Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday. During the meeting various issues related to Waqf, Haj and dargahs were discussed.
About this meeting Naqvi said, Today I met a delegation of Sajjadanashin and prominent religious leaders of reputable dargahs across the country under the leadership of AlSSC and held positive talks on various issues related to the Waqf, Haj, dargahs.

They have opened up shops for fatwas and just like vegetable vendors go about selling vegetables on their thelas (carts), they are going about selling fatwas fatwa le lo, fatwa le lo . When the Covid-19 vaccine arrives, they will be the ones who will be the first to take it and then they will issue a fatwa and put the lives of others in danger, Mr Naqvi said while speaking to ANI.
