(KAIT) - A nearly two-week-long boil order for the city of Corning due to winter weather has been lifted, officials said Saturday. According to a post on Mayor Greg Ahrent’s Facebook page, the boil order was lifted at 11 a.m. Saturday. At the time of the order, utility workers in Corning repaired two burst water lines, but city and county leaders asked residents to conserve water.

(Shutterstock) DOYLESTOWN, PA Doylestown Borough Mayor Ron Strouse has declared a winter storm emergency for the borough effective at 1 p.m. Wednesday and continuing for the duration of the storm until snow emergency routes have been cleared. A winter storm warning begins at 12 p.m. and lasts through mid-morning Thursday. The latest forecast from the National Weather Service calls for more than a foot of snow in the Philadelphia area. Drivers in the borough should not park on a posted snow emergency route or risk being ticketed or towed. Only vehicles with snow tires, snow chains, or 4-wheel drive are permitted on these roads.
