Srinagar, April 12: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday said Kashmir witnessed the highest number of tourist arrivals than the rest of the country post Covid-19 due to the strenuous efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir administration to revive the tourism sector.
He was addressing a a mega tourism promotion event in Srinagar “Tapping the Potential of Kashmir: Another Day in Paradise”.
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in association with the Tourism Department of Jammu & Kashmir, Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FICCI) and the Indian Golf Tourism Association (IGTA) is organising this event.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Tourism is organizing a mega tourism promotion event in Srinagar “Tapping the Potential of Kashmir: Another Day in Paradise” from 11th to 13th April 2021. Lt. Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha and Union Minister of State for Tourism & Culture (I/c) Prahlad Singh Patel will address the delegates at the inauguration of the event.

Pune, April 3 : A 22-year-old Kashmiri girl, who ran away from home to Pune with the intention of committing suicide, returned home with a smile and renewed hope in life, thanks to the love and care provided by a NGO.
It was around a fortnight ago that the girl - identified as Rabab (to protect her identity) - fled her home in a small village in Baramulla district, in a deeply disturbed state of mind.
No private tuition by teaching faculty without formal Govt sanction: HC

JAMMU, Mar 31: High Court has directed the Education Department to implement Rule 10 of the Employees Conduct Rules in letter and spirit and ensure that no member of its teaching faculty engages in private tuition at private coaching/tuition centres without previous sanction of the Government.
Moreover, High Court has directed that the Zonal Education Officers and Chief Education Officers shall be the nodal officers, who will ensure the implementation of Rule 10 of the Employees Conduct Rules and the circular/instructions, if any, issued by the Government to give effect to Rule 10 of the Employees Conduct Rules.
