Even After 5 Days, Assam s Wait for its Next CM, Govt Continues, Isn t this Insult to the People s Mandate?

Guwahati Reporter: Who Will Be Next CM of Assam?: The people of Assam s wait for its next CM continues. It has been five days since the Assam election results were announced on May 2, Sunday, yet no sign of any announcement about who will be the state s next CM. The state is in limbo. Let us not forget that Assam too is in the middle of a massive fight against COVID as the numbers are rising every day. Soon after the assam results were announced, there was news that Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been given the responsibility to act as the observer of BJP s parliamentary committee, meet the elected MLAs and discuss the important issue of selecting the next CM of Assam and set the ball rolling for Assam s next government and the Council of Ministers. But news later came in that he had postponed his visit. The BJP top brass got busy with managing things in West Bengal.
