Petrol price breached Rs 100 mark in Rajasthan s Ganganagar district and Madhya Pradesh s Nagarabandh on Wednesday as fuel rates hiked for the ninth consecutive day. According to Indian Oil Corporation data, the retail price of non-premium petrol at Ganganagar touched Rs 100.13 per litre on February 17. Diesel price at Ganganagar is at Rs 92.13 per litre. Current petrol price in MP s Nagarabandh is Rs 100.40 per litre, as per IOCL data. Whereas, the diesel is priced at Rs 90.81 per litre.

Amaravati/New Delhi, Feb 15 : Andhra BJP president Somu Veerraju on Monday met Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with other leaders of the party and submitted a memorandum seeking reconsideration of privatising the Vizag steel plant as it pertains to the sentiments of the state . People of Andhra Pradesh are opposing the privatisation of the steel plant. We have informed that their sentiments must be protected, said Veerraju.
He was accompanied by Daggubati Purandeshwari, Sunil Deodhar and others, as they apprised Pradhan of the alternatives available to protect the plant.
Matter of concern that a State conducted polls inside another’s boundary: Pradhan
A day after Andhra Pradesh held an election in a disputed region in Odisha’s Koraput district, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday said it was a matter of concern that a State had conducted panchayat elections inside another State’s geographical boundary.
“It may be Andhra Pradesh or any other States, the interstate-State boundary dispute is creating bad blood. If the Odisha government does not take step in time to resolve the issue, we may have to face problem,” Mr. Pradhan said on Twitter.
“The government has taken legal steps. I hope the government takes it to logical end. The administrations need to strengthen development projects and government services,” he said.
