The US-headquartered micro-blogging platform s website does not show his name, as mandated under Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021. Twitter declined to comment on the matter. On the website, the grievance officer contact information for users in India is listed as Jeremy Kessel, who is based out of San Francisco, US. The development comes at a time when the micro-blogging platform is already under pressure to comply with the new norms and has faced severe criticism from the government along with warnings of legal proceedings.
