The government is likely to announce the formulation of a dedicated policy for the toys sector in the Union Budget 2021-22. This policy will help in boosting domestic manufacturing and in creating a robust ecosystem for the sector in India and also to attract startups.

Mega leather park with Rs 5,850 cr investment to come up in UP s Kanpur, to create 50,000 jobs ANI | Updated: Dec 17, 2020 03:28 IST
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], December 17 (ANI): A mega leather park will come up in Ramaipur village of Kanpur with an investment of Rs 5,850 crores, according to an official release.
The park which is part of the mega leather cluster project is likely to create 50,000 jobs. Recently, the project has received approval from the Union Commerce Ministry. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to lay the foundation stone of the project soon.
At least 50,000 people will get direct employment and indirect employment for 1.5 lakh people in the leather park to be built under the mega leather cluster project in Kanpur, the release read. The mega leather cluster project will attract an investment of about Rs 13,000 crores.

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu Crime Branch-CID police to probe into missing 103 kg gold, which was seized by CBI in a raid from an importer here. The gold is part of 400.47 kg in bullion and ornaments confiscated by the CBI when it carried out searches at the office of Surana Corporation Ltd in Chennai in 2012.
