Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], April 20 (ANI): After high-pitched rallies and roadshows, campaigning ended for the sixth phase of West Bengal assembly polls on Monday.
43 constituencies covering the district of Uttar Dinajpur and a segment of Nadia, North 24 Parganas and Purba Bardhaman will go to polls in the sixth phase of West Bengal assembly elections on Thursday.
As many as 306 candidates are in the fray in the sixth phase.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee did not miss even a single platform to launch scathing attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is also the COVID-19 issue that she used as a weapon against the top BJP leadership.

As the pandemic rages on, threatening to disrupt economic activity, the textile industry, which has never had it so good on the export orders front, has sent out an SoS to the Centre and to state Chief Ministers.
The industry is at an inflection point with strong growth potential thanks to geopolitical factors. It has benefited from reports, in the last 6-8 months, of China using Uighurs in Xinjiang province as forced labour. This led to many top global textile brands moving orders to Indian players.

The Nagaland government in consultation with all the stakeholders would prepare a Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) to protect the indigenous people and their traditional life and culture, officials said on Saturday.
Addressing a consultative meeting with the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) and Tribal Hohos on RIIN late on Friday, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that the state has the legitimate right to formulate its own laws and regulations for the interest and protection of its citizens.
