Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], May 7 (ANI): A four-member team of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) visited Satgachhia and Nodakhali areas of the North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal to assess the ground situation amid the reports of post-poll violence in the state.
The team interacted with locals and assessed the property vandalism in those areas.
The MHA has deputed a four-member team, led by an Additional Secretary level official including a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) official, to visit the affected areas. The team reached West Bengal yesterday.
DRDO starts constructing 500-bed Corona hospital in Jammu

JAMMU, May 7: Amid shortage of ICU and oxygen supported beds in Government as well as private hospitals in Jammu, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has started construction work of a 500-bed COVID-19 hospital at Bhagwati Nagar here.
Sources told Excelsior that the Hospital is being set up by the DRDO at State land near Amarnath Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar. It is a joint initiative of the DRDO and the UT of J&K, they said, adding, the work on the Hospital has been initiated and by the end of the month, the Hospital will be handed over to the J&K Health Department for running.

New Delhi [India], May 6 (ANI): Taking a serious view of violence after the Assembly poll results in West Bengal, the Union Home Ministry has deputed a four-member team, led by an Additional Secretary level official, to visit the state and assess the ground situation.
The team would reach the state today.
On Wednesday, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla wrote to West Bengal Chief Secretary reminding him of the letter written on May 3 to check the post-poll violence and also to provide a report on the incidents.
According to MHA sources, the ministry did not receive any report yet and violence continues as the state government has not taken any step. MHA in its successive letter directed the West Bengal Government to take all necessary measures and submit a detailed report immediately.
