LinkedIn today announced the findings of the latest LinkedIn Workforce Confidence Index, a fortnightly pulse on the confidence of the Indian workforce. Based on the survey responses of 1,752 professionals, findings from January 1-29 reveal that professionals in India are confident about career progress despite growing uncertainties about the job market and financial future in the current environment. 80% of professionals are confident about skilling opportunities, while 79% are confident about the strength of their CVs.

Workforce Confidence Index offers a gloomy outlook for workers aged 22 to 38, or millennials.
The survey found 81 per cent of respondents were sheltering in jobs rather than seeking career advancement.

While millennials have shown the strongest confidence throughout the pandemic, indicating a resilient mindset, they continue to face career challenges.
Matt Tindale, managing director of LinkedIn Australia and New Zealand, said that millennials are taking a safety first approach in their careers. Overall workforce confidence remains relatively steady and we are seeing confidence in jobs is rising due to overall positive signs that the Australia labour market is stabilising.
