The front of Saturdayâs 150,000-strong march for victory to Palestine leaving Hyde Park
âI bring a message of defiance from Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the state of Palestine, and from besieged and heroic Gaza, and from the refugee camps â we will not be denied any more,â Palestinian Ambassador to the UK Husam Zomlot told the mass rally outside the Israeli embassy in Kensington on Saturday.
More than 150,000 workers and youth marched for victory to Palestine from Speakers Corner in Hyde Park to the Israeli Embassy in Kensington on Saturday afternoon.
Zomlot told the rally: âI am told that there are tens of thousands demonstrating in 80 town and cities around the UK today.

Starmer has spent the best part of a year agreeing with PM Johnson, offering time and time again to work with the Tories during the pandemic, voting with them, or abstaining to allow Tory policy through.

It is well known that Slaughter broke irrevocably with Trotskyism in 1986 and that the remaining 35 years of his political life consisted of a shameful repudiation of Trotskyist politics and its Marxist foundations. However, in noting his death, the ICFI must call attention to the significant role that Slaughter played in the fight for Trotskyism in the earlier period of his life.
Slaughter’s most important contributions as a Marxist and Trotskyist are, undoubtedly, the documents that he wrote in the 1960s in opposition to the American Socialist Workers Party’s betrayal of Trotskyism and its 1963 reunification with the Pabloite United Secretariat.

An undercover police officer led a triple life infiltrating a socialist group and a fascist group at the same time, according to documents disclosed to a public inquiry.
The spy, who adopted the fake name Peter Collins, was sent by his Scotland Yard bosses to infiltrate a leftwing group, the Workers Revolutionary Party (WRP), for three years, the inquiry heard.
During the deployment, members of the WRP persuaded him to infiltrate a violent far-right group, the National Front. Collins filed reports of his infiltration of both organisations to his police managers.
These reports, published by the public inquiry into undercover policing on Tuesday, are the first significant evidence that officers spied on the far right, although not in this case at the instigation of the police.

WRP General Secretary FRANK SWEENEY addressing the May Day rally
âIT IS our international duty to organise the overthrow of the capitalist system here in Britain,â WRP General Secretary Frank Sweeney told the 100-strong Workers Revolutionary Party and Young Socialists May Day Rally in Kensington Memorial Park, west London on Saturday afternoon.
Sweeney said: âThis May Day we especially send support to the Palestinian people who for seven decades have refused to bend the knee.
âThe Palestinians have stuck to their principles and kept their national identity intact. Their resistance has now created a revolutionary situation within the Zionist state of Israel. Forward to the Palestinian revolution. Create a Palestinian state, where Muslims, Jews, Christians and anybody else can live in peace.
