An Ottawa retirement home has let two employees go after an internal investigation into allegations that a manager’s wife was given a COVID-19 vaccine intended for a front-line staff member.
Riverstone Retirement Communities, which operates Stirling Park Retirement Community, confirmed in a statement Wednesday that following its investigation “two employees are no longer with the company.”

It did not identify the employees or say whether they had been fired, but a union spokesperson said they were both managers.
