The S&P/TSX Composite Index enters today just 226 points shy of breaking through 20,000 after notching a record close yesterday for the third consecutive day. Canadian National Railway led the way on Thursday as analysts and investors seemingly warm up to its planned purchase of Kansas City Southern. The bigger picture though is that the index has been on wheels since bottoming out a little more than a year ago. Weâll be prepared to dig into the anatomy of the rally.

The NDP had previously criticized the legislation as lacking short-term accountability between now and 2030, but has accepted proposed changes, including climate progress reports in 2023 and 2025 and an interim emissions objective for 2026.

Amos said in a statement posted to Twitter that while he was taking part in a virtual session of the House of Commons the previous day, he urinated without realizing (he) was on camera.
OTTAWA The Conservatives say an incident where Liberal MP William Amos relieved himself while on camera during virtual proceedings was shocking, reckless and an affront to the dignity of the House of Commons. The moment marks the MP s second Zoom lapse after he made headlines around the world last month when he appeared naked on an internal parliamentary feed of virtual question period. Amos said in a statement posted to Twitter last night that he urinated without realizing (he) was on camera during a virtual session of the House on Wednesday evening. He apologized for what he said was accidental and could not be viewed by the public, but stated the action was nonetheless completely unacceptable.
