Inspired Salads by The Star Group took home Best New Product at the CPMA showcase
Two greenhouse products stole the show at the 2021 Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) New Product Showcase last week.
The Star Group’s New Inspired Salads was named Best New Product. Based in Alberta, Inspired Salads are prepared with greenhouse-grown ingredients and freshly made dressings, separated by compartments within a hexagonal container.

Mucci Farms’ Naked Leaf Living Basil won for Packaging Innovation. Reducing plastic by 50 per cent, its sleeve is made of 50 per cent paper with a compostable growing pot and a reusable exterior pot.

The high school is adding two new career connections courses beginning the 2021-2022 school year– Building Trades 1 and Building Trades 2. The courses are part of a construction pre-apprenticeship program for high schools that is sponsored by a RemoteEDx grant from the Ohio Department of Education.

49ers Launch Virtual Lesson Series To Ease Burden On Bay Area Students and Teachers
The 49ers award-winning educational program, 49ers EDU, has launched a new Virtual Lesson Series for K-8 students and teachers interested in STEAM that is entirely free of cost to each end-user.
49ers EDU, in partnership with Chevron, has initiated an online accessible learning platform aligning with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, with the hopes of sparking interest in STEAM (that s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, a.k.a. STEM, plus arts), helping grow the next generation of STEAM professionals, as well as provide a huge break for teachers.
