LAHORE:Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, while expressing satisfaction over the rates and availability of wheat and flour stocks, said that Punjab was the only province where 20kg flour bag was available at the fixed rate. He said the flour price had been stabilised following the timely decisions and the government would continue to facilitate consumers, as no one would be allowed to exploit people.
The chief minister stated this during a meeting with Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, who briefed him about the department performance.

GUJRAT: Despite completion of most of the infrastructural work in the Wazirabad Small Industrial Estate, local manufacturers have been awaiting possession of their plots due to the unavailability of electricity, gas and other basic facilities there.
Hundreds of manufacturing units of cutlery and stainless utensils have been operating from residential areas in Wazirabad city, causing a great deal of inconvenience to the residents as well as manufacturers for over five decades.

Fruit and vegetable prices down in Lahore
Fruit and vegetable prices have started coming down significantly in Lahore. During the last 27 days, the price of potato had come down by Rs58 per kg, onion by Rs27 per kg and tomato by Rs45 per kg.
On the other hand, the prices of ginger imported from Thailand and China had gone up by Rs30- 250 per kg. The price will be reduced when two ships carrying ginger from Thailand reach Karachi.
In a meeting chaired by Punjab Minister for Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal, the Agriculture Department special Secretary said that the local crop of onion, tomato and potato had started coming in the market due to which the prices had come down significantly. The price of new potato was Rs105 per kg three weeks ago which now was Rs47.

LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar gave approval to include the project of 1000-bed hospital on Ferozpur Road in Annual Development Programme.
He directed for resolving the issues related to transfer of land allocated for the hospital at the earliest and said the general hospital is being constructed in Lahore after 30 years.
He said rulers of previous governments did not bother to increase health amenities keeping in view the increasing population of the provincial metropolis.
