New Genetic Selection and Fertility Management dairy TDF farmer Ashley Fleming, from Seaforde, Co Down NINE NEW dairy technology demonstration farms (TDFs) have been appointed by Northern Ireland s College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, The TDF project has is creating a network of local farms to allow other farmers to see new technology and innovations at work which they might then adopt on their own farms. Over the past year CAFRE has organised a series of more than 100 mostly online training events at TDFs right across Northern Ireland in the dairy, beef, sheep and pig sectors, and is continuing to take bookings for future visits to all of its TDF farms.

Martin UAV’s V-BAT system has been chosen by the US Navy for a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft system (UAS) prototyping and development effort.
The selection follows the successful Mi2 Technology Demonstration live event at the Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona, US.
The company was one of the two down selected from 13 submissions to participate in the Tech Demo, which is the second phase of the Mi2 Challenge. L3Harris Technologies was the other candidate selected to compete.
