On Monday, February 22, Dr. Kate Marvel, Supervisor of Secondary Student Learning, provided Milford School District Board of Education information on the progress students were making in Career and Technical Education majors. Dr. Marvel explained that since most of these programs were normally provided with hands-on learning, the COVID-19 pandemic has required that the district make some adjustments.
“In the spring, we will have 25 of our School of Agriscience members at the high school competing in different contests at the Virtual Delaware FFA State Spring CDE contest,” Dr. Marvel said. “In addition, four members attended the state conference, which was held virtually, to learn about leadership, the importance of promoting agriculture and goal setting. The MCA and MHS Agriscience department is preparing for a busy spring with the upcoming spring plant sale and the arrival of livestock animals.”

From painting cave walls, we have evolved as humans to new technologies. We now share information with others through hundreds of different communication apps, such as Messenger, Snapchat, and Instagram. This communication happening across a multitude of applications and services that aren’t integrated is called fragmented communication. I believe that it is difficult to decide if the fragmentation of communication is a good or bad thing because of the complexity involving its pros and cons. Thus, we must look towards improving the dispersion of communications across different services.

WEST FARGO Former West Fargo teacher Ronald Thompson will be charged with soliciting a minor after an out-of-state tip led West Fargo investigators to suspect he had been trying to solicit a minor online.
At a press conference, Wednesday, Feb. 24, West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness said during the investigation, which involved investigators from a specialized task force, Thompson solicited a minor online that was actually an undercover investigator.
