New Technology Park in Islamabad to Create Thousands of Jobs
The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) and Rapidev DMCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Technology Park in Pakistan’s first Special Technology Zone (STZ) in Islamabad, a state-of-the-art development that will facilitate a high-tech business environment.
The signing ceremony was held in Islamabad and attended by members of both the organizations, technology sector professionals, and government officials.
According to the MoU, both the organizations will work together to achieve high-tech industrial growth, create job opportunities, upskill the youth, and attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) through the development of a knowledge ecosystem driven by research, innovation, and collaboration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has established a multifaceted ‘Science Diplomacy Initiative’ that brings Pakistani Science & Technology stakeholders on the same platform with our scientific diaspora and innovative entrepreneurs.
In order to benefit from this initiative, the High Commission of Pakistan, Canberra, is planning to convene a Virtual Science Summit 2021 titled “Creating Synergies and Partnership with Scientific Diaspora in Australia”. Chairman, Islamabad Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) Amer Hashmi on Friday said that the Islamabad Special Technology Zone (STZ) would attract $ 100 million investment in next five years to contribute to the national economy.
Chairman STZS said the first Technology Park in the Islamabad STZ based on 150 acres of land in the Islamabad Capital Territory would be established soon, said a press release issued here.
