Police: 3 Dead, Including Teenager, In Garden City House Fire

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) Only a charred shell remained after a home was destroyed by fire on Thursday morning.
Three people died in the blaze on Washington Avenue. Police officially did not name the victims, but did say they were a 62-year-old man, 60-year-old woman, and an 18-year-old woman.
The house had just been decorated with a Garden City Class of 2021 poster and a banner from NYU welcoming the young woman to the school of music, CBS2’s Jennifer McLogan reported.
“Unfortunately and tragically, three people lost their lives. We can confirm three fatalities in this house fire,” Nassau County Assistant Fire Marshal Michael Uttaro said.

On April 8, 2021, the Garden City Police Department concluded an investigation into the illegal narcotic distribution by Ismael Castro (21), Garden City, KS.
On April 8, 2021, at around 12:10 A.M., officers stopped a vehicle Castro was driving in the 2800 block of E Mary Street. Multiple narcotics were seized to include alprazolam, oxycodone, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana, in addition to one firearm. Castro was taken into custody following the traffic stop.
A search warrant was served at Castro’s residence at 1303 Conard Street.

traffic stop and Castro’s residence:
Garden City Man Killed in Officer Involved Shooting
GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KLIX)-An officer involved shooting is under investigation by a special taskforce in Garden City following the death of a 58-year-old man Tuesday morning.
According to Garden City Police Chief Rick Allen, three officers responded to a domestic disturbance just before 1 a.m. where they were met by a man who had come out of the residence with a gun pointed at the officers. Two of the officers drew their weapons and fired at the man, disabling him. Immediately officers began life-saving measures and requested paramedics, however the man died at the scene. Ada County Coroner Dotti Owens identified the man as Thomas Bunde.

GARDEN CITY, Idaho One man is dead after an early morning confrontation with police in Garden City early Tuesday morning.
Around 12:52 a.m., three patrol officers from the Garden City Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 5100 block of N. Quinella.
Upon arriving on scene, a 58-year-old man came out of the home and pointed a handgun at the officers and verbally threatened them. Two officers fired their service weapons at the man. They immediately began life-saving efforts, but the man died from his injuries.
The Ada County Critical Incident Task Force has been activated, and the Ada County Sheriff s Office is leading the investigation.
