TOPANGA, CA The Los Angeles County coroner released the name of the Woodland Hills woman killed last week in a hit-and-run on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
Asfaneh Bashirzad Daneshvar, 40, died from blunt force trauma after getting hit by a car at around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, near the Woodland Park Estates neighborhood near Woodland Hills. Police found Daneshvar lying on the side of the road, and pronounced her dead on the scene.
The California Highway Patrol said in a statement that evidence suggested that she was hit by a car while walking along the side of the road. The car, which CHP described as a sedan with damage to the front headlight, sped away in the southbound direction.

TOPANGA CANYON California Highway Patrol officials were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle fire on Thursday, February 18 where they found a female deceased at the scene. The fire was reported to have started at 12:36 a.m. on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, about a mile north of Pacific Coast Highway.
According to reports, when California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the location at approximately 12:41 a.m., they discovered a silver Toyota that was covered in flames. There was one victim in the car and the body was burned along with her personal belongings. There was no evidence of any other victims involved in the incident.
