âI decided to stay in the North, not because I didnât receive acceptance into Queenâs University or McMaster University, but because my family could simply not afford to send me,â said the Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School alum, now vice-president of the Sudbury and District Labour Council and a member of USW Local 2020, during a press conference held by Sudbury labour leaders on Thursday.
