Lehigh Valley Mall shoppers on the hunt for Presidents Day sales might have found more empty storefronts Monday than savings.
The Whitehall Township mall recently said goodbye to at least four more popular retailers: Yankee Candle, footwear retailer Clarks, casual clothing outfitter Ambercrombie, and jewelry chain Littman Jewelers. Additionally, Helzberg Diamonds and footwear retailer Aldo are nearing final days.

SHARE ON: Laurentian University has received court protection from its creditors, so provincial minister Ross Romano has appointed Dr. Alan Harrison to find ways to help the university sustain its programming.
The university was denied COVID-19 support funding last week. Colleges and Universities Minister Ross Romano s office says at this time, a one-time injection of funding through the COVID-19 Support Fund will not fix the significant long-term and systemic challenges faced by Laurentian.

Laurentian University’s filing for protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act has been endorsed by the courts.
Ontario Superior Court judge Geoffrey Morawetz (MORE-ah-wetz), which means the university now has until April 30th to come up with a restructuring plan.
