DIFI holds youth discussion sessions in Qatar, Morocco and Jordan

Doha: The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) a member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development organised a series of regional youth discussion sessions in three Arab countries under the title “Youth Views on Marriage and Its Challenges”.
The first session was held in Morocco, in cooperation with the National Institute for Social action in Tangiers, while the second was held in Jordan, in partnership with the National Council for Family Affairs. The last session was held in the State of Qatar, in cooperation with the Qatar Debate Center.
A grateful, resilient nation celebrates Qatar National Day amid global crisis

Since 2007, Qatar National Day has been the most festive day of the year for Qatar, a depiction of national love for the country. However, falling in a year of global crisis, this year’s celebrations will be unlike any other because of COVID-19, a disease that has seen the world face an unprecedented ordeal.
Never has any of us alive today experienced a year like 2020. Never has a single enemy gripped the world, and – in silence – distanced families, affected livelihoods, and taken lives.
Amid this extended crisis, I feel that this year’s Qatar National Day theme – ‘We praise you, the Lord of the Throne, and we accept your judgment in all actions’ – reflects the nation’s sentiment, because we do have so much to feel grateful for, and to be proud of our country and its leadership.
