The online resource has a map giving the number of positive cases in specific Scottish neighbourhoods , seven of which are within Caithness. The latest figures from the national agency show Thurso East and Thurso West each had four positive cases during the period from December 13-19.

The school, along with the Early Learning and Childcare, and the Scope child learning programme, was closed today (Monday) for pupils as a precautionary measure. A Highland spokesperson said: “We are aware of three positive cases of Covid-19 at Miller Academy Primary. NHS Highland’s Health Protection Team (HPT) are investigating potential close contacts therefore we have made the decision to close the school as a precautionary measure.
