Internationally acclaimed comedian Daniel Sloss will offer a unique take on life in Thurso when he performs a live online show next week.
Daniel, who spent many summers in the town when he was growing up, is putting on the event to help Thurso Community Development Trust (TCDT).

Thurso s food waste minimisation and community growing project is to run an online workshop aimed at getting children active in the garden.
When Thurso Grows gave the town s community garden a makeover this winter and put in a fun space for youngsters to play and learn about gardens and growing, as much second-hand material as possible as used â and the team realised that other people might like to have a similar space in their gardens.

Thurso Community Development Trust members are being invited to have their say.
A proposal to form a community benefit society for Thurso is to be explored at an online meeting this week.
The move comes from Thurso Community Development Trust (TCDT), which has been making steady progress through a five-year strategic plan that was created after community consultation in 2018.
For the past year, the focus has been on delivering community support as part of the Covid-19 response, but members of the team have also been progressing plans that were put in place pre-pandemic.

A Burns supper served up by local volunteers went down a treat with around 70 residents living in the Thurso and Castletown communities.
Dished out on Tuesday this week, it is just one of the many things volunteers with the Thurso Community Development Trust (TCDT) have been busy organising during the latest Covid-19 restrictions. The Burns supper went really well, said development manager Joan Lawrie. There were lots of happy people. We delivered about 70 Burns suppers, including Castletown where we work in partnership with Christine Stone.

Community group Thurso Grows is launching a free online course to cultivate the skills of new food growers in the Highlands.
The virtual Get into Growing Group will run for five sessions, starting next weekend and continuing into February.
The community gardens in the Ormlie area of Thurso have thrived this year, despite the restrictions. Members of the team have worked with volunteers at the gardens growing large amounts of produce, joining forces with Highland Council to turn Sir John s Square in the town centre into a temporary community vegetable garden and running bi-monthly market stalls giving away locally grown veg by donation.
