AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALIDA, COLORADO, APPROVING THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY, LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF M STREET AND W. THIRD STREET, FROM THE CITY OF SALIDA TO THE CHAFFEE HOUSING TRUST, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CERTAIN AGREEMENTS FOR SAID SALE
WHEREAS, the City of Salida, Colorado ( City ) is a statutory city, duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of Colorado; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes§ 31-15-713, the City, acting by and through its City Council ( Council ), possesses the authority to sell and dispose of real estate owned by the City by ordinance, where the real property was not used or held for park purposes or any governmental purpose; and

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALIDA, COLORADO, APPROVING A LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 232 G STREET, FROM THE CITY OF SALIDA TO RIVIAN, LLC, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CHARGING STATION LEASE AGREEMENT IN CONNECTION THERETO
WHEREAS, the City of Salida, Colorado (âCityâ) is a statutory city, duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of Colorado; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes § 31-15-401, the City, acting by and through its City Council (âCouncilâ), possesses the authority to adopt laws and ordinances within its police power in furtherance of the public health, safety and welfare; and

Council will consider moving forward with an affordable housing complex, seven new business action items and one piece of unfinished business, at Salidaâs regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.Â
The city will consider approving the transfer and conveyance of .38 acres of real property, located at M Street and W. Third Street, from the City of Salida to the Chaffee Housing Trust, to be used for affordable housing.Â
Council previously re-zoned the area to medium density and vacated a portion of Crestone Avenue with Ordinance 2020-10.Â
The planning commission approved, with conditions, a limited impact review for a six-unit affordable residential development, to consist of four separate buildings, including a duplex, a primary residence with an attached ADU and two single-family dwellings on Nov. 23.
