The pandemic has been tough on businesses, especially small businesses. After the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated their mask guidelines, many businesses, small and large alike, announced that they were lifting their mask requirements for those that are fully vaccinated. While that sounds fine and dandy, it s hard to know which businesses are still requiring customers to wear a masks and which are not. Even though the signs on the door say masks required , no one is wearing them, including employees.
It s confusing me, Quad Cities! So let s have a chat.

DAVENPORT, Iowa City leaders, law enforcement personnel, and members of local civil rights groups have come together on the Iowa side of the Quad Cities to create the
Iowa Quad Cities Law Enforcement Community Partnership.
It s a group that blossomed out of a conversation in the summer of 2020, after the death of George Floyd. Their meetings have been held twice monthly, discussing community and policing issues and how they could partner for the benefit of the Quad Cities region. These members include people from the City of Davenport, City of Bettendorf, Scott County Sheriff s Department, Davenport National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and Davenport League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Two Davenport Men Arrested On Multiple Felony Charges
Two area men have been arrested and charged with felony child porn crimes following an investigation by local authorities.
New York State Police have arrested Jeremie G. Hoyt, age 41 and Peleg N. Booth, age 43 both of Davenport, NY on numerous charges after an investigation into child pornography.
The charges stem from a search warrant which was issued and enforced on April 26, 2021. Police, with the assistance of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation as well sa the Computer Crimes Unit
On April 28, 2021 New York State Police in Oneonta, members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and members of the New York State Police Computer Crimeswent to the suspects residence on Mount Vista Drive in the Town of Davenport. They were notified through a tip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
