LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - While weâve seen stories about wasted vaccine in other areas, the City of Lubbock Health Department has been very careful with their supply, discarding only three out of 45,000 doses.
That is less than a tenth of a percent.
âItâs so valuable,â City of Lubbock Health Department director Katherine Wells said.

Through the Lubbock Public Health Department, 33,529 individuals have received their first COVID-19 vaccinations, and 11,912 have received their second doses.
Despite winter weather conditions, the Lubbock Public Health Department will move forward with Thursday’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic as scheduled for Phases 1A and 1B.
