HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) After more than a year of cautious reserve and decided precautions, the City of Hattiesburg is hoping to help its businesses get back to business as usual.
A city-wide job fair is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center.
One area of focus will be on employers in the restaurant and hospitality industries who have immediate hiring needs Another area will feature businesses and industries that could spark careers.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) Hattiesburg has completed seven projects across the city in the past two years using its portion of âYour Penny at Workâ tax money.
Another three projects are underway, while two more are scheduled to begin soon.
The city released a report Monday detailing the revenue and project funding.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Last week, the City of Hattiesburg submitted a grant application for a planning/feasibility study to renovate the old Hattiesburg High School Gymnasium on Front Street.
Whatever the initial plans were, they might have gone up in flames Sunday morning.
Hattiesburg firefighters responded to a call about 2:15 a.m. Sunday about a fire in the 500 block of Front Street.
