Parts of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area will be placed under the red zone in the province’s tiered framework for COVID-19 restrictions as of Tuesday, allowing a wide swath of businesses to reopen.
More Ontario students head back to school for in-person learning

Another batch of Ontario’s students will be back in class for in-person learning on Monday.
Elementary and secondary schools in the following 13 Public Health Units (PHUs) – will make the return to physical classrooms:
Brant County Health Unit
Huron Perth Public Health
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health
In Toronto, Peel and York Region, schools will remain closed until after Family Day and return for in-person learning on Feb. 16.

Schools in Toronto, Peel and York regions to return to in-person learning on Feb. 16
The Ontario government says schools in Toronto, Peel Region and York Region will reopen for in-person learning on Feb. 16, while students in Durham and Halton regions and those outside of the Greater Toronto Area will return to the classroom on Feb. 8.
