Dog and cat lovers who may want to share their love this Christmas season for the canines and felines may consider adopting the rescued animals which are being sheltered at the Antipolo City pound. As the city government announced in its Facebook page earlier this week that the 122 dogs and 27 cats that were rescued and sheltered at the city pound were open for adoption, there have been 38 dogs and eight cats adopted by their new owners as of December 16.

+ December 16, 2020 AS THE court case of Madino Codasi proceeds, no sanctions have been meted to any Public Order and Safety Division (POSD) personnel.
Councilor Arthur Allad–iw confirmed no communication from the office of Mayor Benjamin Magalong was transmitted to his office nor the Baguio City Council since the commitment to investigate the unfortunate incident between Codasi and the POSD weeks ago was made.
Codasi filed a case at the City Prosecutors Office and the Commission on Human Rights, as well as the office of Magalong for violations of Republic Act (RA) 7277 as amended by RA 9442 or the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, cyber libel and libel against the POSD.

+ December 12, 2020 THE Cebu City Council formed an ad hoc committee to study the proposed Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) of the City Government and Megawide Construction Corp. to develop the Carbon Public Market.
The Joint Venture Selection Committee (JVSC) already endorsed to the council its recommendation to approve the contract.
The ad hoc committee is composed of City Councilors Renato Osmeña Jr., market operations committee chairman; Raymond Alvin Garcia, committee on laws chairman; Jerry Guardo, infrastructure committee chairman; Joel Garganera, who will look into the heritage aspect of the agreement; and Nestor Archival and Franklyn Ong from the minority bloc.
