+ April 30, 2021 VACCINATIONS against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) are expected to resume in the cities of Cebu and Mandaue next week, with the arrival of 56,000 additional doses of the Sinovac vaccine Friday morning, April 30, 2021.
Dr. Jaime Bernadas, Department of Health (DOH) 7 director, said the additional vaccines will be administered to Priority Groups A1 (healthcare workers), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (persons with comorbidities) and A4 (essential workers) in Central Visayas.
“A shipment of 56,000 doses of Sinovac arrived at the CHD (Center for Health Development) 7. Cebu City will get its share,” Bernadas told SunStar Cebu in a text message.

File photo April 16, 2021 CEBU City s top officials mourned the passing of former Cordova mayor and Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) undersecretary Adelino Sitoy.
Mayor Edgardo Labella said the death of Sitoy was bittersweet, as he died on the day of the blessing of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway.
Labella said Sitoy had been pushing for the project and contributed to realizing it. As we all very well know, Addy was a key player in realizing this project, said Labella.
The mayor narrated when he happened to meet Sitoy some two years ago in Banilad, Sitoy told him about his plans for the third bridge and the proposed reclamation project in his hometown Cordova.
