The City of Knoxville recently hosted the Iowa Economic Development Authority for a downtown assessment. The team gave a presentation of their findings, and provided city officials with guidance on improvements. Interim City Manager Heather Ussery says the team gave them a clear direction and tips on how to transform Knoxville’s downtown.
“They had a great presentation, we had a great turnout for the interviews and community meeting. I don’t think a lot of the things they said were things we were surprised about. We understand and have identified those. Them giving us the resources and tools to move forward and make those changes and move forward in a positive way was the best outcome.”
