The North West Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs MEC, Mmoloki Cwaile, did not shy away from expressing his disappointment at members of municipalities who refuse to cooperate with the Special Investigation Unit (SIU).
This came after the SIU raided the offices of the Ratlou Municipality last week.
OFM News previously reported that the SIU raid comes after the investigations into the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE). The SIU was granted a warrant by the Magistrate s Court in Atamelang to raid the offices after the municipality failed to cooperate with the investigators. It is unfortunate that some officials of the municipality decided to not fully cooperate with the SIU.
