Six people from three unrelated households in Alberta have tested positive for the highly-contagious COVID-19 variants though they have no link to recent travel at this time, Alberta’s top doctor explained Monday.
Another 14 cases of the United Kingdom and South Africa variants of the novel coronavirus have been identified in Alberta since Friday’s update. However, several of the cases are historical and have arisen as labs screen test samples for the mutations.
