Bill prioritizes workforce development for undeserved communities in emergency and climate response
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - California SB604 Natural resources: the Nature and Parks Career Pathway and Community Resiliency and Equity Act of 2021 was approved unanimously Thursday by the State Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Water. An upcoming hearing is set for Monday, May 3, to be re-referred by the State Senate Committee on Appropriations at 9 a.m.

Senator Ben Hueso (D-San Diego) signed on as the primary sponsor for SB 604, with Senator María Elena Durazo (D-Los Angeles) and Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) backing the legislation.
