www.newsofbahrain.com The fish farming sector is on the verge of a quantum leap, according to the Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Dr Nabil Muhammed Abu Al Fateh. Under the direction of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Eng. Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, the Ministry is determined to enter into partnerships that will contribute to the advancement of work at the National Mariculture Center, in order to achieve the goals of doubling the volume of production and maximising the benefit of the centre. During his inspection visit to the National Mariculture Center in Ras Hayyan, accompanied by the Acting Director of the Fisheries Department, Ammar Yasser, and marine resource specialist Bassam Al Shuwaikh, Dr Al Fateh was briefed on the efforts made by the national cadres to improve the production volume of local fish.

Works Minister inspect reclamation works at North Bahrain, Al-Basteen Bridge | THE DAILY TRIBUNE

Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf has paid an inspection visit to the second package of reclamation works within the construction project of North Bahrain Street (phase two) and Al-Basteen Bridge. The Minister was briefed on the latest work developments in one of the strategic road projects of the Ministry. The visit was attended by Works Affairs Undersecretary Eng. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, Assistant Undersecretary for Roads Eng. Hoda Abdullah Fakhro, Director of Roads Projects and Maintenance Department, Eng. Sayed Badr Alawi, Director of the Department of Road Planning and Design, Eng. Maha Khalifa Hamadeh, and a number of engineers in charge of the project, as well as consultants and contractors.

New pedestrian bridge in Muharraq | THE DAILY TRIBUNE

The Daily Tribune - www.newsofbahrain.com A pedestrian bridge will soon be built to link the first and second stages of the Saada project in Muharraq and will be funded by the Zamil Group. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Eng. Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf and Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah) CEO Amin Ahmed Al Arrayed recently signed a memorandum of understanding finalising the implementation of the project. Minister Khalaf said that the importance of the project lies in its being a complement to the Saada project by building a pedestrian bridge that will link the old Muharraq market and the waterfront of the western part of the Saada project, which was among the last contributions of the late His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa aimed at restoring and developing the features of the real estate landscape in the country.
