Millions of Americans can bank on a second round of COVID-19 stimulus checks arriving within weeks.
After months of failed talks between Republicans, Democrats and the Trump administration, Congressional leaders now expect to vote Monday on a $900 billion package that includes direct payments of $600 to Americans.
The $1,200 checks issued through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act were sent to about 90 million people within the first three weeks of April after President Donald Trump signed the package on March 27. According to CNN, most eligible Americans received the payments within two months.
