Animal rights protest delays vaccine clinic, hundreds of appointments canceled
Four Bay Area residents lay on the track at Golden Gate Fields Thursday afternoon to stop racing and to shut down Golden Gate Fields forever, according to Direct Action Everywhere, an animal advocacy group. But the protest delayed a vaccine clinic at the site where hundreds of appointments were canceled.
BERKELEY, Calif. - An East Bay vaccination clinic was evacuated on Thursday and now there is an argument over blame.
An estimated 200 doses were missed at Golden Gate Fields, where a drive-thru clinic operates in the north parking lot.
