(WWJ) U.S. Customs and Border Protection is lauding the seizure of some marijuana and a handgun at the Blue Water Bridge.
On Sunday, March 7, officials say CBP Office of Field Operations officers encountered a 42-year-old man who was trying to enter the U.S. at the bridge in Port Huron after being refused entry into Canada.
CBP Officers conducted a secondary vehicle examination and discovered an unregistered handgun, 32 rounds of 9mm ammunition and a peanut container which actually contained marijuana with a total weight of 27.29 grams.
“This was a great team effort by our officers” said Acting Port Director John Nowak.
