Police rescue two kidnap victims unhurt in Delta

Delta State Police Command, Wednesday, said it has rescued two kidnap victims who were kidnapped by four armed men at Oghara in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state.
The Command in a statement by its Acting Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe, said: “On 19/04/2021 at about 0332hrs information was received by the DPO Oghara Division CSP Jimoh Hassan that one Solomon Otomierewo ‘m’ of Ibori road Oghara and his girlfriend one Rukewe Urhiephroune ‘F’ were kidnapped while returning to their house, by four armed men who blocked his unregister Mercedes GLK and took them to a bush along Koko road.

Delta State Police Command, yesterday, arrested suspected leader of a-6 man kidnap gang at Arhede community in Isoko North Local Government Area of the State and two suspected armed robbers at Asaba, the State capital.
The Command in a statement by its Acting Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe gave the name of the arrested suspect as Francis Ogedengbe, adding that the gang was behind the kidnap of one Williams Aduenwomah from the Ozoro community in the local government area.
Edafe in the statement said: “On the 20/4/2021 at about 0200hrs, acting on a tip-off, the Divisional police officer Ozoro CSP Ogedengbe Areguamen Ozoro led police operatives with the assistance of some vigilantes and stormed a criminal hideout at Aradhe community and arrested one Oghenefegor Francis ‘m’ 28yrs of Aradhe community, the suspect is the leader of a six-man gang wh

The arrest of the suspects came after the police rescued the victims unhurt, DAILY POST learnt.
The Police also recovered his Mercedes GLK from the suspects whose arrests were made possible with the assistance of soldiers at Oviorie Community.
It was learnt that the victims were allegedly abducted by four armed men who blocked their unregistered Mercedes GLK on their way home in Oghara Community in Ethiope-West Local Government Area.
They were taken to a bush along Koko road by the armed men.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright.

The two rival cult leaders are Godswill Oghmienor (25yrs) and Okonedo Moses (22yrs).
Both of them are suspected members of Aye cult group.
Their arrest were made possible with the assistance of the youth chairman and security head.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright.
According to the Police Image maker, “On the 17/4/2021 at about 1215hrs, information revealed that a group of suspected cultists were seen gathered within Pessu Community.
“In a determined effort to ensure that the directive of the commissioner of police Delta state CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC+ on the eradication of cultist in the State is complied with, the Divisional Police Officer CSP T.Y. Mahmud mobilized the A Division Warri Quick Response team and stormed the community.
