Ministry of Defence to start recruitment drive tomorrow SHARE
Following the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Ministry of Defence, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor, will receive the applications from those who meet the conditions for recruitment to join the Sultan’s Armed Forces.
Recutiments will be made to the Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Omani Navy, and other departments in the ministry.
Meanwhile, the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) has already provided a number of its divisions with young Omanis.
Among these, the Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy today employed Omani youths, who joined the Academy to receive training and join the ranks of defence of their country.
1,000 jobs every month in civil, military services RECRUITMENT AT SAF BEGINS TODAY SHARE
MUSCAT: The government is pressing ahead with its Appointment and Replacement Programme , which generates as many as 12,000 jobs for Omanis as specified in the “Employment Plan 2021”, said a government official on Tuesday, noting that the placements will be made at a rate of 1,000 jobs a month, till the end of this year, in the government sector’s civil and military services.
In implementation of the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, on expediting the execution of employment initiatives, the Ministry of Defence will today begin to receive job-seekers who meet conditions set for recruitment at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF). The jobs will be announced in succession by the Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Navy of Oman and other administrations of the Defence Ministry.

The tourism sector has witnessed a steady growth in its indicators over the past years, bringing the sector’s total contribution to RO 1.3 billion by the end of 2019, with a direct added value of RO 718 million riyals, compared to 700 million riyals in 2018, forming 2.5% of the Sultanate’s GDP. The number of inbound visitors increased, reaching 3.5 million visitors in 2019, said the Minister while addressing the council.

Muscat: Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada), has urged entrepreneurs who benefit from Al Raffd Fund to review the nearest branch of Oman Development Bank and complete the formalities related to deferring their instalments.
A statement issued online by Riyada said: Based on the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 regarding deferring the instalments of the beneficiaries of the financing support of Al Raffd Fund until the end of 2021, we would like to warn that the entrepreneurs benefiting from Al Raffd Fund should review Oman Development Bank to finalize the procedures related to their respective deferments.
