The stately homes of San Antonio s King William and Monte Vista historic districts may be the real estate eye candy most folks associate with our city. However, its inner burbs are also populated with numerous houses that embody a sleek Mid-Century Modern vibe. The architectural style of 1940s through the 1960s wasn t about the grandiosity of the classic turn-of-the-last-century houses in King William, but it has a charm all its own sleek lines, open floorpans and stylishly boxy exteriors. We rounded up five amazing San Antonio homes that embody the Mid-Century Modern feel but are all priced at $450,000 or less. Beyond the sleek style, some of them also boast amazing features, from swimming pools and party-worthy decks to an actual sauna.
