ALBANY Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced various traffic restrictions on highways Monday night as the snowstorm hit downstate hard including instituting a 45 mph speed limit on I-87 from Albany s Exit 24 to New York City.
The speed reduction also is for the Berkshire Spur, as well as other highways going in and out of the New York City area.

Hudson Valley Weather believes one to two inches of snow could fall per hour from noon until late Monday in Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties. The storm should intensify in the northern parts of the Hudson Valley later Monday afternoon. By 8 p.m., on top of what s already fallen, another foot of snow from the Mid-Hudson Valley on South. Snow continues (to fall) from there. Basically, the models continue to imply, on top of what s already fallen, we are still expecting (another) 10 to 20 inches of snow, Hudson Valley Weather said live on Facebook.

STEWART AIRPORT – Allegiant Air will be adding two additional routes from New York Stewart International Airport later this year. They are in addition to the current Myrtle Beach and Florida routes served from the Newburgh area airport.
The Savannah, Georgia and Destin, Florida routes were originally scheduled for 2020 but were put on hold because of the pandemic.
Savannah, Georgia will be served via Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport beginning on May 26. Destin service via Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport will begin on June 13.
The Destin flights will operate twice weekly while the Savannah service will operate four times weekly.
