Former RAF serviceman to walk 16 miles from Grantham in aid of Walking With The Wounded  | Updated: 12:52, 16 December 2020 An ex-RAF serviceman will be walking 16 miles to support ex-military and their families as part of Walking With The Wounded’s (WWTW) Christmas campaign, Walking Home For Christmas. Lawrie Wilson, who spent 17 years in the RAF at both RAF Cranwell and RAF Cottesmore before retiring in 2006, lives in Grantham with his family and volunteers with a local Air Training Corps squadron. On Saturday, Lawrie will complete a walk from the squadron base to Kendrew Barracks (formerly RAF Cottesmore), accompanied by his three sons, aged 19-24.
